What is quick fix? Just as the name implies, it is a quick solution for people that want to learn few important phrases right away. Some people may need to know few words or sentences so that they can start conversating right away. Or they may be getting ready for a trip to Ethiopia, and don't have the time to go through the whole program before their arrival date.
Don't worry if you have not yet learned how to read Amharic yet. Click on the Amharic phrases to hear them read out loud. Try to memorize them and understand their meaning.

Note: Some words are divided by back slashes " / " and color. In Amharic the gender of the subject alters the form of the verb (this is discussed in detail in Lesson 6). It would not be appropriate to refer to a male using a verb that would normally used to refer to a female. Though there are a number of different subjects (such as I, you, he, she, they...), only few are used in this section. The first words (in red color) refers to an informal male person (it is the equivalent of "you" to a friend or family person). The second word (after the first back slash and blue color) refers to an informal female. And the last word (green color) refers to a formal person of both genders (this could be a priest, an elder person, teacher, employer, and so on).
